Born in Turkey and trained at Central Saint Martin's, Rifat Ozbek has often used ethnic surface decoration in his designs. This early 1990s layered look has a dramatic waistcoat inspired by native American costume. It makes a bold black and white composition over a sheer organza tunic and tapered trousers.
